Wednesday 4 th August, Google has announced an important change to its policy on trademark usage in paid search advertising in the UK, Ireland and Canada. The change already applies to Google US search.

Looking back a few years before the advent of the iPhone many hotel websites thought that Flash was a fairly safe choice for using to create attractive looking key content - and to the most part they were right. Issues with Flash (where search engines were unable to access content) weren't such a huge deal as Flash tended to be used for visuals rather than text content, Flash accessibility was advancing, Google Analytics and other stats packages started supporting Flash and most computers had an up to date version of Flash in their browsers. Everything seemed rosy and many developers and SEO companies were beginning to relax their fears about Flash.

Founded by Peter Tyrie, this boutique hotel group operates three hotels in London (The Colonnade, Threadneedles & Academy), two hotels in Leeds (Quebecs & 42 The Calls) and two hotels in Edinburgh (Glasshouse & The Scotsman).

Swallow Hotels are a famous household brand name and awarded Occupancy Marketing a contract to develop it's 27 strong hotel presence throughout the UK.

Exclusive Hotels operate a number of luxury hotel, spa & golf resorts in England, including Penny Hill Park. Occupancy Marketing were engaged in 2009 to develop an internet marketing strategy for the group with a view to increasing online bookings and reduce dependency on third party travel sites.

McMillan Hotels

McMillian is a Scottish hotel group operating 5 family or leisure hotels (Cally Palace Hotel & Golf Course, Fernhill, Kirroughtree Country House, North West Castle, The Park Peebles and Peebles Hydro).  The group also operate the Relais & Chateaux property, Glenapp Castle.

Occupancy Marketing has worked with the group since 2009.
