Targeting an international audience through search

Less than 25% of the world’s population speak English, meaning 75% are searching the web in a foreign language. Does your website cater for this?

As search engines move more & more toward localised search results, International SEO is an increasing area of relevance.

We work with the client's regional offices or our translation partner, Lingo24, to localise key landing pages into a variety of International languages. By undertaking country-specific keyword research, we identify search phrases unique to that country or region and optimise the website copy accordingly.

This brings a number of advantages for our clients; not only is the localised site more likely to convert foreign visitors, it opens up new markets for users that do not search in English.

Google may be the biggest search engine, but it's not the only one

While Google is certainly the most popular search engine in the UK & US, around the world other countries have different search engine preferences. For example, in Russia Yandex is the most popular search engine, in China it's Baidu.

Understanding internet users search preferences helps us to ensure that our international SEO programmes are best suited to their intended audience.
